Your Take on The College World Series

This week here on The Fans Sound Off, we want your thoughts on how much College World Series action you consume.

Of course, The Fan AM 1060 is your home for Arizona State baseball as they charge year in and year out to Omaha, but we wanted to know exactly how much of the CWS you watch or listen to every year.

So, this week’s question, appropriately, is “How interested are you in the College World Series?” You can CLICK HERE to cast your vote and give us your opinion!

Bob Kemp
“I would be watching as much as possible even if ASU weren’t playing. I was fortunate to attend and cover a College World Series back in my newspaper days, but, that was 1976, three years before ESPN even existed. I don’t know if people realize how important the CWS is to the players. I remember Terry Francona, after managing the Red Sox to the World Series and ending the curse, said the only thing in sports in his life that ranked with the Red Sox winning that World Series was winning the 1980 CWS.”

Dan Manucci
“I will be tuned in from start to finish!”

Mike Muraco
“I’ll catch the games if I can. It’s a great achievement just to be one of 8 teams that earn a trip to Omaha.  I do hope Pat Murphy finally gets his title.  And when he does get it, I hope he can be a humbled about it and be more open to talk to the media and fans.”

John Daly – The Hosts React

The hosts from The Fan AM 1060 have sounded off on whether or not John Daly should be allowed back on the PGA Tour. Here’s what they had to say!

Arnie Spanier
Unless you want golf completely to disappear, let him back! He’s only a real danger to himself and he paid any debt to society. Can’t pick a winner or wife but let him back. If it’s not Phil or Tiger, give up Daly and lets see if he screws up. He still deserves to be back. 

Kevin McCabe
Yes, yes and yes. This guy is good for golf….he’s an everyman golfer…fat…fighting demons…and can rip it…plus Kemp hates him…all the more reason.

Bob Kemp
Jonn Daly should have been suspended, permanently, several chances ago. He is far beyond getting his second chance. Daly has abused the opportunity of being a professional more than anyone in sports. I purposely avoided using the term “professional athlete” because this bum is a prime example of why golfers are not athletes.

Mike Muraco
He is the man and is great for golf! Have him play in all the tournaments Tiger doesn’t. 

Dan Manucci
I feel John Daly is good for us average Joe golfers.  He has a lot of off the course problems, but still manages to get back up.  In fairness for the PGA though, there are no more chances for John Daly.
